The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, received today, Thursday 25 April 2024, at the Ministry of National Defence, students from the minority Primary Schools of Ano Vyrsini, Polyanthos, Ano Drosini, Asomatoi, Passos and Organi in Thrace, who take a field trip in Athens.
At their meeting, which was also attended by the Chief/HNDGS General Dimitrios Houpis, Nikos Dendias discussed with the students and the teachers accompanying them.
The Minister of National Defence, addressing the students and teachers, said:
“It is with great joy that I, and the Chief/HNDGS General Houpis, receive you here at the Ministry of National defence. From what I understand, you have also visited the Hellenic Parliament in the past days, It id really nice that you get to see how your country works. I believe that I have visited Thrace 10 times, more or less, even though I am from Corfu, on the other side of Greece. I am certain that we hosted you with efficiency, and also with great love. You are the future, you are the young children, for whom a much better future will be created. We are very happy that you are here today”.
On behalf of the teachers of the minority schools who visited the Ministry of National Defence, the Director of the minority Primary School of Organi Ahmet Arnaut Mustafa, addressing the Minister of National Defence, said the following:
“On behalf of all my colleagues, I warmly thank you for your welcome, and wish that we will soon see you in Thrace and welcome you to our schools”.
At the end of the meeting, remembrance gifts were exchanged.
