The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias paid a visit to the Eastern Mediterranean Command HQ, where he was briefed on the operation of the HQ at national and Operational level.

The Minister of National Defence was accompanied by the Chief of HNDGS Michail Kostarakos, the the Chief of HNGS Evangelos Apostolakis and the Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Fleet Panaghiotis Litsas.

After the completion of the briefing, Mr. Dendias made the following statement:

“Today I had the pleasure, along with the Chief of the HNDGS, the Chief of the Navy and the Commander in Chief of the Fleet, to visit the Eastern Mediterranean Command HQ and talk with the men and women who serve here. I also had a detailed briefing on the role of the Eastern Mediterranean Command HQ.
