In the presence of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos, the oath taking ceremony of newly commissioned Second Lieutenants of the Air Force (Class 2016) was held at the Hellenic Air Force Academy.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Marina Chrysoveloni, the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Vasileios Tellidis, the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Georgios Giakoumakis and the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis.
It was also attended by the Leader of the Union of Centrists Vasilis Leventis, MPs and representatives of political parties.
The Second Lieutenants were awarded their swords by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic.
