The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland.
The Minister of National Defence made the following statement:
“I met with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State, with whom I had a very constructive discussion on matters pertaining to defence, among others. I explained to her that it is a special circumstance, for the Alliance, for Greece and for the United States of America. There are possibilities for multiple cooperation in the energy and defence sectors. From the United States – an ally who, after World War II, helped Greece to stand on its feet with the Marshall Plan – we expect cooperation, sincere cooperation. I believe that we can make it”.
