The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, accompanied by the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Christos Vaitsis, visited the Air Force Training Centre at Galatina Air Base, Lecce, Italy.
During his visit, he met with Italy’s Minister of Defence Roberta Pinotti.
They discussed issues pertinent to the military cooperation programmes between Greece and Italy, migration, dealing with international terrorism and the development of an international centre for flight training in Kalamata, Greece.
The Chief of HAFGS Christos Vaitsis conducted a flight on the new T-346 operational training aircraft.
