The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos, the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas and the Chief of HNDGS Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis met with members of the US Congress who visit Greece as part of their Balkan tour.
They were informed about the progress of the bilateral relations in the field of defence, about security issues which arise in this area and regard energy security as well.
They share common views about the stabilizing role which Greece plays in the area of Southeastern Europe, Mediterranean Sea and Northern Africa, as well as about the enhancement of this role through the defence and technical-defence cooperation of the two countries.
