The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos and the Alternate Minister of National Defence Dimitris Vitsas met with the President of the Panhellenic Women’s Sport Association “KALLIPATEIRA” and Greece’s National Ambassador to the Council of Europe for Sport, Tolerance and Fair Play Katerina Panagopoulos.
On the International Women’s Day, a cooperation protocol was agreed to be signed between the Ministry of National Defence and the PWSA “KALLIPATEIRA”, for the creation of temporary residence centres exclusively for refugee mothers and children.
The first centre will be created in Attica region and the next ones in the rest of the country, with the active participation of Kallipateira’s members.
The meeting was also attended by the Coordinator of the Central Management Body for the Migration Major General Konstantinos Floros.
