The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos met with the U.S. European Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Curtis Scaparrotti.

They discussed issues regarding the relation of Greece with NATO with an emphasis on the southern wing of the Alliance and on the need to maintain the stability in the area.

They made an estimation of NATO forces in the Aegean Sea and expressed their mutual satisfaction from their contribution to addressing the migrants-refugees’ issue. The need that the forces should continue their operation was also stressed.
