The visit of the Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos to the USA where he had private meetings with the new Chief of Staff of the White House Reince Priebus, the Chief Strategist of the New President of the USA Steve Bannon, the adviser of the New President George Papadopoulos, the Archbishop of America Demetrios, as well as with other high rank officials of the new administration and with prominent members of the Greek community.
During the meetings, they discussed issues regarding Greece and, more specifically, the extension of the military agreement between Greece and the USA, the interstate cooperation with countries of the Mediterranean Sea, issues of geopolitical interest, the developments in the economy and the assessment of the implementation of financial measures. A comprehensive discussion was also held about security issues in Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on dealing with DAESH.
