Defence Minister Panos Kammenos’ statement

The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos was released on January 4, 2017 from 251st Air Force General Hospital as it had been scheduled; he was submitted to a successful arthroscopic surgery for a chronic condition of his left shoulder blade. His health condition is excellent according to the attending doctors.

The Minister of National Defence said the following, in his statement:

“I would like to thank, from the depths of my heart, the medical, nursing and civilian staff of 251st Air Force General Hospital and in particular surgeon Col Odysseas Paxinos, anaesthesiologist Col Nikolaos Kouris, their associates: orthopaedists Col Kostas Kourelis and Lt. Col Athanasios Karamitros, anaesthesiologist Cpt. Zoi Kapoula and radiologist Col Georgios Delimpasis.
 
I also thank the Alternate Minister of Health Pavlos Polakis, the leadership of the Armed Forces and Greek people for their support.”
