The Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos who visits Abu Dhabi, following an invitation by his counterpart, in view of the International Defence Exhibition IDEX 2017, met with the Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
They discussed the relations of bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries, expressing their satisfaction on their current level, as well as their mutual will for their further enhancement.
They exchanged views on issues regarding the area and international issues of mutual interest, stressing the need for the global community to take coordinated efforts to combat every form of violence, extremism and terrorism.
The Minister of National Defence met also with Prince Feisal of Jordan with whom they discussed issues of bilateral multifaceted defence cooperation, as well as the developments in the wider area of Eastern Mediterranean.
In the end, the Minister of National Defence laid a wreath at the Memorial of UAE’s Fallen heroes.
