In the context of his visit to Epirus and Western Macedonia, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Kammenos, accompanied by the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Vasileios Tellidis and the Independent Hellenes’ MP in Kozani electoral district Mr. Charis Katanas, visited the border outposts of Kato Aetos, Kakavia, Drymades, Molyvdoskepasto – where he also visited the Holy Monastery of Virgin Mary of Molyvdoskepasto – Grammos, Dipotamia, Aghios Ioannis, Ieropighi, Krystallopighi, Vrontero, Niki.
At Drymades outpost he met with Mrs. Sophia Demetriou, a female guard of the borders who lives in the village Oreino.
The visit to Niki Outpost was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha.
He also met with the mayors of Filiates Mr. Spyros Pappas, Pogoni Mr. Konstantinos Kapsalis, Konitsa Mr. Andreas Papaspyrou, Nestorio Mr. Paschalis Gketsios, as well as with the Metropolitan Serapheim of Kastoria.
