The Minister of National Defence Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis participated today, Wednesday 7 June 2023, at the commemorative events for the 199th Anniversary of the Holocaust of heroic Kasos Island.
Mr. Stefanis attended the memorial service, he laid a wreath and watched the school parade. In addition, he met with the Regional Governor of South Aegean Mr. Georgios Hatzimarkos, and with the Mayor of Kasos island Mr. Erotokritos Mihalis, and visited the torpedo boat “TROUPAKIS”, docking in the area.
In his statement, the Minister of National Defence notes the following: “Heroic Kasos welcomes us once more for the 199th Anniversary from its Holocaust. We discussed on the projects, both ongoing and under planning. The Armed Forces are always by the side of the borderline regions, in cooperation with the municipal and regional authorities”.
