The Minister of National Defence Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos sent to the personnel of the Hellenic Force Afghanistan, the following message:

“Officers and NCOs of the Hellenic Force in Afghanistan,

The report on the day of the Holy Easter concerning the attack to the allied forces and the Hellenic military troops in Kabul, instantly turned our thoughts to all of you participating in the Hellenic mission.

I wish that you will all be healthy, safe and with a high spirit and, when the time will come, that you will return to the country, back to your families, with the pride and recognition of your contribution to the consolidation of peace and Democracy in this sensitive corner of our planet.

Your political and military leadership make sure that the accomplishment of your mission and your stay there will be attained under safe living conditions and constant amelioration of the situation prevailing over there.

With these thoughts and with my Easter greetings for all that is good for you and your families, I send you my most heartfelt and sincere feelings  of deep appreciation and love”.
