The Minister of National Defence Mr. F. Fragkos, accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General K. Ziazias, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff Vice Admiral K. Christidis and the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General A. Tsantirakis will attend tomorrow, Tuesday June 12 2012, the memorial service that will be held in honour of Lieutenant (AF) Nikolaos Sialmas, at the monument of Fallen Airmen, at cape Sialmas (Tripiti) in the island of Ayios Efstratios.
The ceremony takes place on the occasion of 20th anniversary since the decease of Lieutenant (AF) Nikolaos Sialmas who lost his life during an ordered mission for interception of Turkish aircraft that had illegally entered the Athens FIR.
