The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos sent a letter to the Minister of Defence of Libya Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud AL–Bargati in which he expressed his grief for the destruction of the monument dedicated to the Greek fallen combatants of the Second World War at Tripoli-Libya, characterising such actions as condemnable and repulsive.
Moreover, he asked of the Libyan government to assume its responsibilities and proceed to the immediate restoration of the severe damage.
