The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos will begin, tomorrow noon, his official visit at the Republic of Cyprus, following an invitation extended by his Cypriot counterpart, Mr. Dimitris Eliadis.

During his stay in Cyprus, the Minister of National Defence, besides the discussions he will hold with Mr. Eliadis, we will also meet with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Dimitris Christofias, the president of the House of Representatives and leader of the Movement of Social Democrats (EDEK) Mr. Yiannakis Omirou, the Archbishop of Cyprus Mr. Chrysostomos, the President of the Democratic Rally (DHSY) Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis, the General Secretary of the C.C. of the Progressive Party of the Working People of Cyprus (AKEL) Mr. Andros Kyprianou, the President of the Democratic Party (DHKO) Mr. Marios Garoyan, the President of the European Party (EUROKO) Mr. Dimitrios Sillouris and with the General Secretary of the Movement of the Ecologists Ms. Ioanna Panaghiotou.

Moreover he will visit, among others, the General Staff of Cyprus National Guard, the Hellenic Force in Cyprus (ELDYK) and he will lay wreaths at the military cemetery and war memorial ‘Tomb of Makedonitissa’ and the ‘Imprisoned Graves’ in the old Central Jail of Nicosia.
