The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos expressed his discontent as a result of the theft of the heroic Captain’s (AF) Konstantinos Iliakis monument, which took place at Chania, and asked of the civil and military justice to proceed to all necessary actions, so as the perpetrators will be tracked down and arrested immediately.
Moreover, the Minister of National Defence asked of the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General (AF) Antonios Tsantirakis to imminently start the procedure for the manufacturing of a new marble bust, so that it will be placed as soon as possible to the monument and, at the same time, to make everything necessary to inform the family Iliakis on the incident.
