The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos, before departing from Qatar, made a tour at the facilities of the new International Airport of Doha, where he met and discussed with Greek employees.
It is underlined that a big part of the facilities of the new International Airport of Doha have been constructed by a Greek company.
After making a tour at the facilities, Mr. Panagiotopoulos made the following statement:
“I am very proud to be here, at a great project, the new Airport of Qatar at Doha, which has been designed by Greeks, who have also completed its functions.
What you see here has been realised by Greeks, something that makes us proud on many levels; for their know-how, their proficiency, their technical capabilities and potentiality, the fact that they can be competitive, make important works, leave excellent reputation at a country like Qatar, where competition is cruel and comes from all four corners of the earth.
I would like to congratulate you, from the first cadre of every company on the spot, until the newest and lowest employee at the company’s hierarchy. I would like to congratulate everybody and shake their hands, because they accomplish great things because they are our country’s best ambassadors; we can commit that we will do our best to support them”.
