Defence Minister’s Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos statement during the Christmas celebration at the Ministry of National Defence

The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos heard the Christmas Carols by the Armed Forces’ band, at the Christmas celebration which took place at the Ministry of National Defence.

At the same time, Mr. Panagiotopoulos had the chance to exchange wishes with the Ministry’s military and civilian personnel.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of National Defence Mr. Panaghiotis Karambelas and Mr. Dimitrios Elefsiniotis, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Michail Kostarakos, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force Lieutenant General (AF) Antonios Tsantirakis, the Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, Vice Admiral Kosmas Christidis, the Chief of the Hellenic Army Lieutenant General Konstantinos Gkinis, senior cadres of the Armed Forces, as well as retired Officers’ Unions of all Armed Forces branches.

After the celebration, Mr. Panagiotopoulos made the following statement:

Many wishes from the Armed Forces to every Greek man and woman; may the birth of Christ enlighten us and make us all more useful to this country.

The Armed Forces are a part of the Hellenic people, this is why they comprehend its grieves and problems, and they share its visions.

The Armed Forces do their best so that the country will have security, and Greece’s sovereignty, independence and integrity will be ensured.
