The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos, received today at a courtesy meeting the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, General Yuri Khachaturov, who pays an official visit to our country.
During their meeting, which took place at a very friendly environment, the two men discussed matters of mutual interest, as well as the perspective of closer cooperation between the two countries in the future.
Mr Panagiotopoulos asked Mr. Khachaturov to extend an invitation to the Minister of Defence of Armenia Mr. Seyran Ohanyan to visit Athens.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of Armenia to Greece Mr. Gagik Ghalatchian and the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Michail Kostarakos.
