The Minister of National Defence Mr. Panos Panagiotopoulos, by top urgent document he sent to Lieutenant General Prosecutor Reviser A’ Ioannis Bozinis, asks the precipitation of the procedures and research made by Prosecutor’s Office of Athens Military Court for the penal assessment of the very important accusations that were published in the newspapers “Proto Thema” (11/11/2012) and “Parapolitika” (8/12/12) for the eventual existence of a network of military veterinarians who grant illegal health certificates to companies who provide the Armed Forces with meat and other provisions.

In his document, the Minister of National Defence asks, among others, the journalists that made the relevant researches, as well as anyone who may have data on this case, to testify. He also calls the Head of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Review Tribunal to supervise himself the research and to control his subordinate personnel if and in case of delay as far as this procedure is concerned.

It is underlined that the Minister of National Defence Mr. Panagiotopoulos had asked, since the day that followed the first publication (12/11/12), the intervention of military justice and the conduct of a complete research, with a previous document he sent to the Prosecutor of Military Justice since (12/11/12).
