The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias will visit France, on Wednesday 4 October 2023, where he will be received by his counterpart Sébastien Lecornu, at Lann-Bihoué Airbase
(14.30 local time).
Afterwards, Mr. Dendias will go to Lorient, at the installations of Naval Group, where he will be welcomed by the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymoussis HN, and he will inspect the shipbuilding operations of the Frigate “Nearchos” (15.15 local time).
The Minister of National Defence, accompanied by his French counterpart and the Chief/HNGS, will visit Frigate “Kimon” and attend its launching ceremony (16.05 local time).
Mr. Dendias will also visit the French Navy’s Special Operations Forces base (FORFUSCO) in the region, where he will have a bilateral meeting with the French defence Minister (17.05 local time).
Finally, the Minister of National Defence will go to the naval detachment of the Hellenic Navy at Lorient, where he will meet with its Commander and personnel (18.30 local time).
