On Monday, 15 May 2023, the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos visited Armed Forces Units at Limnos.
The Minister visited the 130th Combat Group and met with the members who serve at the facilities of the Readiness Echelons of Air Force fighters and helicopters, and was informed on operational matters.
Next, Mr. Panagiotopoulos visited the facilities of the 88th Military Command and addressed Officers, NCOs and Soldiers who serve at Limnos. Furthermore, the Minister had a meeting at the Bishop’s Residence of the island with his Eminence, the Metropolitan Ierotheos C, and afterwards with the Mayor of Limnos Mr. Dimitris Marinakis.
In the margins of his visit at Limnos, the Minister of National Defence also had meetings with representatives of the local agencies at a central hotel. He was informed in detail on the problems they face, and exchanged views for solutions to be found.
