On 13 November 2023, delegations from Greece and Türkiye conducted a new round of discussions on Confidence Building Measures (CBMs). The meeting was hosted by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense in Ankara.
Both delegations included ambassadors, high-ranking military officers, as well as other officials.
The two sides agreed ad ref to implement or reactivate CBM activities during the course of the year 2024, from a list of previously agreed CBMs.
The meeting was held in a positive spirit.
The two sides also agreed to establish a POC Mechanism in order to remain in contact and facilitate the implementation of the agreed CBMs.
The next meeting will be hosted by the Greek side.
