The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis, accompanied by the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff Georgios Blioumis, visited on Wednesday 28 August 2019 the Hellenic Air Training Command HQ (HATC) at the Air Base of Dekelia-Tatoi in Attica.
The Deputy Minister, after being briefed by the Major Formation’s Command on the mission, organization, activities and challenges faced by HATC, he addressed the Staff’s personnel and Commanders of its subordinate Units and Services.
Afterwards, he visited the Air Defence Personnel Training Centre, where he was briefed on the operation of the Air Traffic Control Simulator, a state-of-the-art training tool owned by the Hellenic Air Force.
The Deputy Minister’s visit was completed with a guided tour to the Air Force Museum which is within the premises of the Dekelia Air Base and includes a very interesting collection of aviation-related display items.
