DepMin Nikolaos Hardalias’ completed his 2-days visit to Formations and Units of the Army and the Air Force in Central Macedonia and Thessaly

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias completed, on Thursday 13 January 2022, his visits to Army and Air Force Formations, Services and Units in Central Macedonia and Thessaly.

In particular, in the second day he went to the HQs of the 350 Guided Missiles Wing in “SEDES” airbase, the 71st Airborne Brigade in Nea Santa, the 1st Raiders-Paratroopers Brigade and the Unconventional Warfare Training Centre in Rentina, the 11 Combat Wing in Nea Anhialos-Magnesia and the 32nd Marines Brigade in Nea Ionia-Magnesia.

He also visited the installations hosting the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade in the 32nd Marines Brigade, at “Col Georgoulas” Camp.

During his visits, the Deputy Minister of National Defence was briefed by the Commands on their organisation, mission, current training and operational activities, he visited their installations and he had the opportunity to discuss with the military and civilian personnel.

At today’s visits, the Deputy Minister of National Defence was accompanied, where appropriate, by the Commander of C’ Army Corps/NRDC-GR Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos, the Chief of the Hellenic Tactical Air Force Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias and the Commander of the Hellenic Special Warfare Command Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas.

From Volos, Mr. Hardalias made the following statement:

We are working for peace and stability in the area against the constant, provocative and historically inaccurate offensive rhetoric, we shall remain sober and calm, committed to International Law.

However, the message we convey is our faith and devotion to our ideals, principles, values and course in History, as well as our readiness for the sovereign rights of our country, and Hellenism in general“.
