DepMin Thanasis Davakis visits C Army Corps, the Military School of Combat Support Officers and 424 Army Training General Hospital

The Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis was visited the C Army Corps, the Military School of Combat Support Officers and 424 Army Training General Hospital, from 4 to 6 September 2025, in the context of attending the inauguration of the pavilion of the Armed Forces at the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair.

The Deputy Minister was welcomed by the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Commanding General of C Army Corps, Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis, the Chief of Staff/HNDGS, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Bouzos, the Commander of the Military School of Combat Support Officers, Brigadier General Petros Kouridakis and the Director of 424 Army Training General Hospital, Brigadier General Christos Sioulis, respectively.

During his visit to C Army Corps, he was briefed on its organisation, mission and current operational and training activities, and addressed the personnel. At the Military School of Combat Support Officers, he was briefed on the training activities, the training programme and the capability of the School to prepare highly qualified scientists-officers, with a sense of responsibility towards their mission.

In 424 Army Training General Hospital, Mr. Davakis had the opportunity to ascertain the high level of medical-nursing services, the perfect organisation of the departments and the use of modern medical-technological equipment, to the benefit of the Armed Forces and the citizens.

Upon conclusion of the visits, Mr. Davakis stated:

I was for three days in Macedonia on the occasion of the inauguration of Thessaloniki International Fair. I visited the HQs of C Army Corps and the Military School of Combat Support Officers which, with a great sense of responsibility, fosters officers with character, knowledge and devotion to the country and the society. I was also in 424 Army Training General Hospital, where the scientific excellence and the contribution of the medical and nursing personnel meet, to the benefit of the soldiers and members of the Armed Forces, as well as the citizens of Thessaloniki and the wider region of Northern Greece. I was informed by the Commanding Generals on the problems they face, and we prepared solutions. My visit was completed with the inauguration of the pavilion of our Ministry, where the activity and achievements of the last years in the field of our National Defence are presented”.
