The Deputy Minister of National Defence ALKIVIADIS STEFANIS, delivered a speech, on Monday 22 March 2021, at the School for Parents – Open University of Katerini, in the context of an event on the subject “Greece, our Homeland: A priceless treasure”, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of National Rebirth.
Concluding his speech, the Deputy Minister of National Defence mentionned the following:
“The struggle for Rebirth will always be engraved on the History of the Greek Nation with glorious letters, as an enduring witness of the Greeks’ unbowed willpower, pride, boundless determination and greatness. We are compelled, by our national interest, to treasure national solidarity and keep our deterrence and defence capability.
This is what should be our permanent and vital national linchpin, our kernel, the critical plank at all levels of strategic thinking and planning, against anyone who might question our borderline, our territorial integrity and, finally, our own dignity”.
