The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis on Friday 23 October 2020, visited Lemnos island. He visited the 88 th Military Command of Lemnos island, the Naval Station of Lemnos and the 130 th Combat Group, where he was informed about its mission and current activities.
Afterwards, he addressed the crew of MACHITIS gunboat and TROUPAKIS missile boat.
He paid office calls to the Holy Metropolis and the Town Hall where he discussed matters which concern the region with the Metropolitan of Lemnos and Aghios Efstratios Mr. Ierotheos and the Mayor of Lemnos Mr. Dimitrios Marinakis.
Finally, he visited Aghios Efstratios island, where he visited the Outpost of the Island Defence Command and the Museum of Democracy. He also met with the Mayor of the Island Ms. Maria Kakali.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence was accompanied by the Commander of the 88 th Military Command Brigadier General Nikolaos Valianos.
