The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited Units of the Armed Forces in the area of responsibility of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalions Command on Lesvos island, on Monday 21 December 2020.
The objective of his visit was to be briefed on the current operational matters and activities of the Units. In this context, he visited the Headquarters of the Formation, the Surveillance Outpost “PROVOSKIDA”, the 3rd Report Post, the 3rd Electronic Application Post, as well as the gunboat “NAVMACHOS” of the Hellenic Navy and the Open-Sea Patrol Boat 050 “ARKOI” of the Hellenic Coast Guard, in order to exchange wishes with the personnel in view of the oncoming holidays.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence confirmed the high readiness and the high morale of the Officers, NCOs and Conscript Personnel.
During his visit, he was accompanied by the Commander of the 98th Higher National Guard Battalion Command Major General Anastasios Spanos.
