On Wednesday 28 June 2023, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis, attended the oath taking ceremony of the new Ensigns of the Navy and the Port Police-Hellenic Coast Guard, held at the headquarters of the Naval Academy in Piraeus. On behalf of the military leadership the ceremony was attended by the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Aggelos Choudeloudis and the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Ioannis Drymoussis HN.
The swords to the new Officers were handed by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
48 Ensigns of the HN (29 Combatants and 19 Engineers), 34 from Greece, 10 from the Republic of Cyprus, three from Jordan and one from Montenegro , as well as 29 Ensigns of the Port Police-Hellenic Coast Guard, graduated from the Naval Academy.
