The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis participated today, Wednesday 14 February 2024, representing the Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikos Dendias, in a Video Teleconference (VTC) of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (UDCG). Defence Ministers and Deputy Ministers, as well as senior Officials also participated in the VTC that was organised by initiative of the US Secretary of Defence, Mr. Lloyd Austin.
In the course of the VTC, the security situation, the current developments in Ukraine, and the contribution of NATO m-s were thoroughly discussed.
At his intervention, the Deputy Minister of National Defence referred to the humanitarian and defence assistance sent to Ukraine up to this day, and highlighted that our country remains by the side of the Ukrainian people.
The Chief/HNDGS General Dimitrios Houpis also participated in the teleconference.
