The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias accompanied by the Chief of HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General Georgios Blioumis visited Tanagra Air Base, on Friday 14 January 2022.
At first, Mr. Chardalias visited the 114th Combat Wing where he was welcomed by its Commander, Colonel Stefanos Ambouleris. He was informed about the organization, the mission and the current operational and training activities, as well as about the works which have been executed for the arrival of the Rafale F3R aircraft on 19 January 2022. He also visited the hangar of the MIRAGE 2000-5 Readiness aircraft, where he conversed with pilots and technicians while he also had the chance to visit the new working place for F3R Rafale.
Afterwards, the Deputy Minister of National Defence visited the premises of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry at Tanagra Air Base, where he was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Aerospace Industry Mr. Ioannis Koutras and the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Demetrios Papacostas.
Mr. Chardalias was toured at the maintenance premises of Hellenic Air Force’s flying assets and he was informed about the progress of the works of the current Armed Forces’ projects. After the completion of his visit, the Deputy Minister of National Defence expressed his positive comments on the efforts made by the Hellenic Aerospace Industry and he stressed the particular importance it lends to supporting the projects of the Armed Forces.
In the end, he visited the Hellenic Air Force Agency at Hellenic Aerospace Industry, based at Tanagra Air Base, and he was welcomed by the Commander, Colonel Panagiotis Kalotychos.
