As of Sunday 11 until Tuesday, 13 December 2022, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, will be successively visiting Thrace and Macedonia Formations, Services and Units, in the areas of responsibility (AOR) of C and D Army Corps.
More specifically, the Deputy Minister’s schedule will be as follows:
In the evening of Sunday, 11 December, he will attend a working meeting, also attended by the Commanders of the 1st Army/EU-OHQ, of D Army Corps and Formations, falling under D Army Corps in Alexandroupolis.
On Monday, 12 December, he will visit the 31st Mechanised Brigade river operations training site at Neraidotopos, Evros, and subsequently, he will successively visit the 1st Company of the Special Forces Operations Training Base HQ at Nea Santa, Rodopi, as well as the 29th Motorised Brigade and XXI Armored Brigade HQs at Komotini.
On Tuesday, 13 December, he will visit the Tank Firing Range at Petrohori, Xanthi, where he will be watching a small scale exercise with LEOPARD 2A6HEL and TOMA MARDER 1A3 tank fires of XXV Armored Brigade Units. He will also visit the Air Force Detachment in Chrysoupoli, Kavala, and XX Armored Division HQ in Kavala.
Mr. Hardalias will conclude his visits at 424 Army General Training Hospital in Thessaloniki, where he will be attending the inauguration ceremony of the Hospital Energy Upgrade project.
In addition, in the context of his visits, the Deputy Minister of National Defence will have meetings with Mayors and representatives of the Regional and Local Self-Administration.
