The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias visited today, Wednesday 16 March 2022, the Army Share Fund Hospital of Athens (NIMTS)in Athens, accompanied by the Deputy Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kellis, where he was received by the Chairman of the Administrative Board, Lieutenant General (ret.) Antonios Mytilinakis, and the General Director, Lieutenant General (ret.) Panagiotis Noulis.

In the context of the visit, the Deputy Minister of National Defence was briefed on the organisation, the operation, the work performed by the Hospital, as well as the challenges it faces. Afterwards, he toured the Medical Services, the ER Department, the Clinics, the Laboratories and the Diagnostic Departments, where he discussed with doctors, nurses and administrative
personnel, as well as with patients and accompanying persons.

In addition, he met with the Chairman of the Hospital’s trade union Mr. Evaggelos Halkias, and the Chairman of the NIMTS Pensioners Society “ALLILEGII” Ms. Maria Hatzaki.

Mr. Hardalias congratulated the Administration, the medical and the administrative personnel on their remarkable work in providing high quality health services to the beneficiaries, and to a large part of the general population. He also underlined their incessant contribution to the national effort to ensure public health, in a long, and extremely hard, period of health crisis.
