The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias visited today, Wednesday 23 February 2022, the HQ of the Eastern Mediterranean Command and the Hellenic Fleet HQ Centre of Operations at Aghia Paraskevi – Attica, accompanied by the Chief/HNDGS General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis HN and the Chief of Hellenic Fleet Vice Admiral Panagiotis Lymperis HN.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence was briefed on their mission, organisation and operation at national and allied level, as well as on the current operational activities. In addition, he inspected their premises and infrastructure, and had the opportunity to discuss with their personnel.
Moreover, in the context of his visit, Mr. Hardalias had a teleconference with the Commander of the Frigates Command on frigate THEMISTOKLIS, and the Commander of the Frigates Squadron 1 on frigate NAVARINON, who participate in the, currently ongoing, exercise “ASTRAPI” at the Eastern Aegean, as well as with the Captain of frigate ADRIAS which is operating in the East Mediterranean.
