The Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis participated in the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence held today, Wednesday 15 October 2025 in Brussels, representing the Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias.

Upon entering the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence, Mr. Davakis stated the following:

“Greece participates today in the Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defence with a long history of high performances and investments in the field of Defence.

We proceed, making steady progress towards modernising our Armed Forces with smart and structured solutions, and this is a promising prospect. We believe that the results of the Meeting will be the springboard for the adjustment of the Alliance to the new geopolitical developments, as they are currently emerging in the broader region.
