On Wednesday 11 October 2023, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Ioannis Kefalogiannis, in the context of his visit in the Area of Responsibility of the 95 Higher National Guard Battalions Command,visited the Headquarters of the aforementioned Command, where he wasbriefed by its Commander, Major General Georgios Manouras, on its organisation, mission and current activities. Immediately afterwards, he met with a National Guardsmen delegation from the National Guard Battalions of the Higher National Guard Battalions Command (National Guard Battalions of Kalamonas, Archipolis, Rhodes and Psinthos), he talked with them and was briefed by the Commanders on their activities.
Next, he went to Symi, where he visited the headquarters of the Island Defence Command. He was briefed on the Command’s mission and current activity by its Commander Colonel (INF) Panagiotis Vranas, and
afterwards he addressed the members and soldiers of the Unit and talked with them.

Finally, Mr. Kefalogiannis visited the Town Hall of Symi, where he met with the Mayor Mr. Lefteris Papakalodoukas and next, he visited the Panormitis Monastery where he had a tour by Father Antonios.
