On Monday 10 July 2023, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, accompanied by the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Themistoklis Bourolias, visited the facilities of the Telecommunications-Electronics Equipment Factory of the Hellenic Air Force, at Ano Glyfada, Attica.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence was informed by the Commander of the Factory, Colonel (MECH) Ioannis Diamantidis, on the history, the mission, the capabilities and current activities, as well as on the productive and scientific work of the agency, which is subordinate to the Air Support Command.

Next, he visited facilities and laboratories, where he observed part of the repair procedure and a demonstration of productive and scientific work, by directors, section chiefs and members of the Factory’s Directorates.

Finally, Mr. Hardalias addressed members and civilian personnel of the Telecommunications-Electronics Equipment Factory and upon conclusion of the visit he stated:

“On the occasion of today’s visit to the Telecommunications-Electronics Equipment Factory, I confirmed once more that research, development and the use of the arising and innovative new technologies in various defence applications, and not only in that field, constitute an integral part of the creative modernization of our Air Force, and our Armed Forces in general. The political leadership of the Ministry of National Defence, in full coordination with the HNDGS and the other three Services, will continue working actively for the establishment of the conditions, so that the country proceeds, without retrograding, in the field of innovative Defence Industry, an action extremely useful both for Defence and Security, and for the recovery of National Economy.
