On Friday 21 August 2020, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis travelled to the D Army Corps Area of Responsibility.
He visited the ΧΙΙ and XVI Infantry Mechanised Brigades’ headquarters .
Then he visited the “DILOFOS” Observation Outpost, as well as Observation Outposts “1” and “2”, the “PAPANASTASIOU” Camp, general Ford “173”, national Observation Post “MARITSA”, Observation Outpost “126” and “KANDILAPTI” Camp.
Finally, he visited the area of the Ainos Delta where he was briefed upon the reinforcement of the deterring measures in the region.
