On 25 October 2018, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha, represented the Hellenic Government at an event of the Union of Retired Army Officers, which took place at the War Museum, on the occasion of the anniversary of 28 October 1940.

The Deputy Minister honoured the event and conveyed the respect of the Government for the great service offered by the Armed Forces to the nation every time the nation is under threat.

The event also included the theatrical play “Sofia, I Remember You”, which paid homage to the great singer of Victory, the eternal Sofia Vembo.
