On Tuesday, 16 October 2018, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha, represented the Hellenic Government at the events for the anniversary of the liberation of Veria.
The Deputy Minister attended the doxology in the old Metropolitan Church of Apostles Paul and Peter of Veria and the parade, followed by a meeting with civilian and military authorities at the City Hall of Veria.
