The Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited today, Thursday 19 August 2021, the HQ of the Hellenic Kosovo Force (ELDYKO) at “Film City” camp – KFOR in Pristina.
After being briefed about the ongoing activities by KFOR’s Deputy Commander Brigadier General Günter Schöpf, he had a tour around the Camp and met the ELDYKO 3/19 Commander Major (Inf) Georgios Kiosterakis. He was also briefed about all the HQ’s operations by the Greek Pristina Senior Major (Inf) Tryfonas Mitkas.
In his address to the personnel of the ELDYKO 3/19, the Deputy Minister stressed the Greek Armed Forces’ excellent footprint in the region and presented the actions of the Ministry of National Defence, driven by love and protection of country conveying the message “We are everywhere, faithful to our mission”.
During his visit, he provided guidance to the members of the Armed Forces and had a meeting with the Head of the Consular Office in Pristina Secretary C’ Ms. Evgenia Bleta, who represented the Head of the Liaison Office of the Hellenic Republic in Pristina, Minister Plenipotentiary A’ Ms. Chryssoula Aliferi.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence was accompanied by the Commander of the C’ Army Corps, Lieutenant General Anastasios Spanos.
