Today, 12 April 2021, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis met with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Mr. Giannis Plakiotakis at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, in the context of the excellent inter-ministerial cooperation and the joint programming of actions in view of the establishment of the Digital Sea Power Centre “ODYSSEAS”, at Palaion Faliron.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Mr. Kostas Katsafados, the Secretary General of Ports, Ports Policy & Maritime Investments Mr. Evangelos Kyriazopoulos, the Secretary General of the Aegean and Insular Policy Mrs. Christiana Kalogirou, and the Chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard Vice-Admiral Theodoros Kliaris.

Then, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, accompanied by the Secretary General of Ports, Ports Policy and Maritime Investments, went to the Port of Piraeus, where the Hellas Liberty is docked, one of the most important monument ships, operating also as a floating Museum. There he was given a tour of its facilities and exhibits.
