Today, Wednesday 31 March 2021, Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited “Major (ARM) Georgios Mellidis” Camp at Avlonas Attica, and more specifically the HAGS/Armour Directorate, the Armour Training Centre and the Armour School to be briefed and view the progress of the infrastructure works underway.

First he visited the Armour Directorate Headquarters where he was briefed on the current activities by its Director Major General Pantelis Katsaitis.

Then he went to the Armour School where he had an online communication with the Second Lieutenants attending the Basic Second Lieutenants Training and the First Lieutenants at the Subunits Commanders School , in the context of their training. He was accompanied by Commander Brigadier General Dimitrios Pappas who briefed him on the activities of the School.

Finally, he visited the quarters utilized for the training of the new Professional Soldiers and the under construction complex infrastructures which will host the United Arab Emirates trainees at the Armour Training Centre, where he was briefed on the progress of the works underway. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Commander Brigadier General Panagiotis Kasagiannis.
