Today, Tuesday 13 April 2021, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis visited the Hellenic Defence Systems Factory (EVO-PYRKAL) in Aegion.

There he had a meeting with the Advisor of the HDS Mr. Nikolaos Kostopoulos, the Director Mr. Giorgos Mantzavinos and representatives of the Employees Administrative Board, on the progress of production of the new National Weaponry, the energy upgrade and the staffing of the factory, as well as on the developments for the drafting of a new collective bargaining for the employees.

The meeting was also attended by MPs of the Achaia Prefecture Mr. Andreas Katsaniotis, Mr. Iasonas Fotilas, Mrs. Christina Alexopoulou and a representative of MP Mr. Aggelos Tsigris.

Then the Deputy Minister met with the Mayor of Aigialia Mr. Dimitrios Kalogeropoulos. They discussed the growth perspectives of the wider region of Aigialia, and the forthcoming production of the National Weaponry by the HDS in Aigion, in the context of the contribution of National Defence in the country’s growth.
