On Sunday, 4th of July 2021, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis attended the celebratory events for the 197th Anniversary since the Holocaust of the Heroic Island of Psara, during which the President of the Hellenic Government was represented by the Migration and Asylum Minister Mr. Panagiotis Mitarakis.
The Deputy Minister of National Defence attended the official Doxology at the Holy Temple of Agios Nikolaos, officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chios, Psara and Oinousses Markos. He attended the Trisagion Hymn, in the garden of the Kontantinos Kanaris house and laid a wreath at the Monument of Fallen Heroes to honour the Fighters of the Greek Revolution, at the Heroes Holocaust Square.
Finally, he visited the popular art and photography exhibition held at the Cultural Events Hall of the Municipality.
The events were organized by the Municipality of the Heroic Island of Psara, by Mayor Mr. Konstantinos Vratsanos, and were attended by the Regional Governor of North Aegean Mr. Kostas Moutzouris , the Chief of Fleet Vice-Admiral Panagiotis Lymberis representing HNDGS Chief , the Vice-Regional Governor of Chios Mr. Pantelis Bogdanos, the Mayors of Spetses Mr. Panagiotis Lyrakis and Eretria Mr. Ioannis Dimitropoulos and Security Corps representatives.
