On Friday 19 September, 2025, the Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis attended the celebrations for the 70th anniversary since the establishment of the Hellenic Army Support Command “THESEUS”.
There, he was received by Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis and the Commanding General of the Hellenic Army Support Command, Major General Antonios Theodosiadis.
In his address, Mr. Davakis stated the following:
“Today, we honour 70 years since the establishment of the Hellenic Army Support Command. Seventy (70) years of continuous contribution, dedication, professionalism, and a great sense of duty.
The Hellenic Army Support Command is not a simple Command; it is the heartbeat pulsing through the entirety of the Hellenic Army. It ensures the implementation of the often unnoticed logistics, in other words, the unbreakable chain of support. From supplies, fuel, and means of transport, to medical care, communications, and maintenance.
Some people fight on the battlefield. Some others fight for everything to be in position on the right time. Without them, no mission can be completed. This is the invaluable work of the Hellenic Army Support Command.
I would like to cordially congratulate you for your 70-year-long course and I hope that you will keep on supporting our people and our Country with the same strength and dedication in the future”.
