On Tuesday, 21 January, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Giannis Kefalogiannis, attended the Change of Command Ceremony of the Higher Army Support Military Command, held at “ZORBAS” Army Camp, with Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis assuming command from Lieutenant General Dimitrios Balomytis.
The ceremony was attended by Chief/HNDGS General Dimitrios Choupis, Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, representatives of the Chiefs/HNGS and HAFGS, of the Hellenic Parliament, General and Senior Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, as well as representatives of cadres from the three Branches of the Armed Forces, and Retired and Reserve Officers Associations.
During the awarding of a commemorative diploma to the outgoing Commanding General of the Higher Army Support Military Command, Mr Kefalogiannis thanked him for his work and contribution, while he wished the new Commanding General success in his new duties.
